Vetted talks all about their new single 'Hold On To Life' (newschannel5.com)

The inspiring story and mission of a band called Vetted, founded by wounded warrior and drummer SSG (ret) Paul Delacerda. Established in 2009, Vetted is a nationally recognized wounded warrior band comprising combat wounded veterans from Iraq, Afghanistan, and first responders.

The band's primary goal is to use music as a positive tool for veteran transition and support, aiming to reduce the alarming rates of veteran suicides by raising awareness and providing resources for healing and employment. With a focus on resiliency, military experiences, and the "never quit" attitude, Vetted emphasizes the message that "nothing comes without sacrifice."

The band's mission also includes suicide prevention training, and substance abuse programs through military and civilian partnerships. Moreover, the members of Vetted are committed to supporting and empowering their fellow warriors, highlighting the importance of unwavering support and understanding during the challenging transition to civilian life.

Celebrate Norwegian Cruise Line® FLEET WEEK MIAMI, May 5 – 12, 2024. The Navy sent four ships to Port Miami for an exciting schedule of events planned to welcome the Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen to South Florida. Guests enjoyed free concerts by the Navy and Marine Corps bands and also guest speakers to include the Admiral, Ranger Rick and performance by VETTED.  Guests learned about the capabilities of Sea Services, and toured the visiting ships.

Norwegian Cruise Line® FLEET WEEK MIAMI is one of the Navy’s premiere community outreach programs for 2024, and more than 130 different events are scheduled throughout the week.  Our best ambassadors are our service members, were incredibly busy throughout the week volunteering at community relations projects, visiting South Florida youth at schools and community centers, participating in military ceremonies, attending social engagements, and generally enjoying the tremendous hospitality that only South Florida can offer.

The goal is always to inform the public about what the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard teams do, how they meet their missions, and the skills America’s servicemen and women bring to the defense of the nation.
